- PIPE MANIA (TM)
-
-
-
- Congratulations on your purchase of Pipe Mania. We hope you'll find
- this game both challenging and entertaining. This short "read me" file has
- been included as an explanation of some of the game features that don't
- appear in the manual.
-
-
- Pipe Mania requires a minimum of 256K of RAM to run. It will work with
- CGA, EGA, VGA, MCGA, Tandy, and Hercules graphics boards.
-
-
- We have provided a utility to install Pipe Mania onto your hard disk:
-
- 1. Insert the disk in drive A.
-
- 2. Type A: and press ENTER.
-
- 3. When you see the A> prompt, type the word INSTALL followed by a
- space, the letter of your hard disk, a colon, and then press ENTER.
- For example, if your hard disk is 'C', enter: INSTALL C:
-
-
- If you have an EGA, VGA, or MCGA card and are willing to trade fewer
- colors for faster response, you may want to try playing the game in CGA
- mode. To do this, enter:
-
- PIPE C
-
- instead of just "PIPE".
-
-
- If you normally use a type-ahead buffer program, you should disable
- it when playing Pipe Mania. Although the game may seem to run well, many
- type-ahead programs will cause subtle problems.
-
-
- If you wish to use the mouse or joystick(s), they must be installed
- before starting the program up. In two player games, the mouse will be
- given to player one, and the joystick to player two.
-
-
- When configuring the keyboard, keep in mind that many keys are already
- being used. If you are playing a one player game, and wish to use some of
- the keys which have been assigned to player two, you must change the keys
- for player two first.
-
-
- If, when you configure the keyboard, you want to use the Keypad-5 key,
- be sure to engage Num Lock so that key will be recognized.
-
-
- If you have a VGA card and the game doesn't come up properly when you
- enter "PIPE", try forcing it into MCGA mode with:
-
- PIPE M
-
-
